Maren is a workout app built by Ominus. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it to what's needed to run the app and never sell your personal data.
Information we collect
Account: when you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email so we can create and secure your account. Workout data you create: the workouts, sets, goals, streak, and any body measurements you choose to log. Collected automatically: device identifiers, app version, basic usage and diagnostic events, and — if you enable notifications — a push token.
How we use your information
To provide and personalize the app (your plan, progress, and streak), to keep your account working across devices, to process subscriptions, to send notifications you opt into, to understand which features help and fix problems, and to comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.
Third-party services we use
We rely on trusted providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (account, database, and hosting), RevenueCat and Apple (subscriptions and in-app purchases), Apple (Sign in with Apple), PostHog (product analytics), Expo (push notifications), Cloudflare (image and media delivery), and Resend (transactional emails). Each processes data under its own terms and our agreements with them.
Photos
If you build or share a workout summary, the app accesses the photo you pick only on your device to create that image. We don't upload your photo library to our servers.
Data security
We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Data retention
We keep your personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app, unless a longer period is required by law. You can request deletion at any time.
Your privacy rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. You can delete your account and personal data directly in the app (Profile → Delete account), or by emailing us. You can also withdraw consent and turn off notifications at any time.
European users (GDPR)
If you're in the EEA/UK, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure ('right to be forgotten'), restriction, portability, and objection to processing, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We respond to requests within 30 days.
California users (CCPA)
If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information.
Children's privacy
Maren is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The 'Last updated' date reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
